I certainly do not speak for STS, but when he impugned yesterday the moderating on MDB, the only admin or mod that came to my mind was you, liz. You are trigger happy to put Dr Scratch down, and to protect your gaggle of TBM geese. Even after The Nehor quietly departed, your protectorate instincts came out. Maybe you're a NOM with TBM-envy.

I suspended Scratch because he revealed in real life information on a poster. If Nehor or DCP had done that, I would have done the same thing. When you asked about whether or not DCP had been taken to task on the board, I answered yes. He WAS taken to task, very vocally by me, and many others for the whole situation that happened with Eric. And no, I am not going to dig up all of those posts. And why? Not to protect DCP, but to protect ERIC. You see, I am also friends with Eric, and have a lot of empathy for what he went through at Westridge. I see no need in re-hashing a painful experience for him, just to satisfy your curiosity about my loyalties.

What is ironic is, I probably have more friends on this board who are critics. And yet, because I dared suspend Scratch, and because I have maintained a friendship with DCP, you are going to rake me across the coals?

I'm not harping on her private board. I'm taking issue with her duplicity in posting the OP of this thread, in the secret context of having such a board and ongoing communications with The Nehor on Mormon topics. She bemoaned missing him, when he was not gone from her circle of Mormon communications. liz yet had and has The Nehor's 'wit, and his perspective' on Mormon issues. There was nothing for her to 'miss', unless enjoying see him be dismissive and condescending to critics. And isn't that that same brush with which she brushes critics--only in the vein of complaining about them rather than appreciating the wit and perspective of critics engaging The Nehor? Wiggle all she wants, liz's true colors--and they're not of the moderate type one expects of a moderator--became more than evident.

I am growing very tired of repeating myself. The fact that Nehor is an active poster on my board, which is a completely different board from this one, is immaterial to the fact that I will miss Nehor's contributions on this board.

You seem to choose not to understand that.

As far as whether or not you think I am a good Moderator for the board, take it up with Shades. If Shades feels that I am doing the board more harm than good, I will resign tomorrow.

I have no idea who might have betrayed liz's confidence. Some of the people to whom she extended an invitation chose to register and some did not.

Given the above list, do you maintain that her board is "simply critic free"?

Those from Darth J down were not on the list when I previously viewed it on 9/12/2011. They've all been additions since it was exposed in this thread that such board existed. So my assertion needs to be viewed in light of the information on which it was based. While I see a few apostates above Darth J's name, the closest to a critic might be Blixa, The Dude and Ray Agostini--who certainly do not bear anywhere near the critic ardor that Daniel Peterson, the nehor, and ttribe do defender ardor. Firebrands of TBM, but none of critics? Very moderate (not).

So why is The Nehor leaving all that uniquely MDB wit and perspective behind and not contributing it at thecafteria? Could it be because there are no critics allowed to challenge him there, and thus no reason for him to snipe (i.e., wit and perspective) at them? Miss his sniping, do you? Well, you have to have critic targets for him to snipe at if that's what you want.

Further, she encouraged those who chose to post to invite others. However the membership has "stacked up" is based on those who chose to register.

Do we know whether or not Liz told or requested all of the invitees to keep the board a secret? I.e., did she request that they refrain from making any mention of it on MDB? Or did she say that she didn't want certain posters here to know about the existence of her board?

One thing of acute interest in this regard. On 9/12/2011, when thecafteria was exposed, there were 39 registrants. Six have been added since 9/12/2011. That should mean that there are 45 registrants. But no, there are now just 28. That means 17 chose to delete their registrations when the fact of thecafeteria's existence came to light. Seventeen of 39 in six days. So I am not sure that your ratio--on those remaining after a defection of more than 40% has taken place--can be considered representative of what 'mix' liz was creating while yet undiscovered. In fact, she described it as "... since this board is a little more mature, and has some TBM's in the mix." Name those that you are accusing anonymously. Present your evidence. And then I will respond. You see, unlike those that unflinchingly belief whatever may come out of the mouths of old fogies in SLC, I reserve my judgments until after I've examined evidence.
