Remember Kids: Never mind things like nuclear fusion, reflected light, or any of that crap you read in your science texts books. Jesus emits photons.

I've already shown how these things are not in conflict with LDS teaching. Probably why the thread degenerated into discussion about Pratt's nondoctrinal statements.

And then Chap showed how vacuous and boring your interpretation was.

Why can't Jesus BE Photons?

Look back at my post, and you will see that if you want to make Jesus into photons, you will also have to make him into the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and the plague bacillus too. You don't want to go there.

In any case, if there is anything stranger than God being a male human being with a body, underarm hair and a penis (circumcised or uncircumcised, one asks?) it would be making Jesus into a wave-packet. 'Oooh look! Jesus just got diffracted through Mr Young's slits! Now he is interfering with himself on-screen!'. Leave him alone, please.

Because Buddha is photons. Jesus will have to settle for being gravitons or perhaps W or Z bosons.

Also, if you look back at what I suggested, I was saying that God and Jesus can merely be the energy that created the big bang.

If We are created in the image of God, then God need not be man! The Old Testament suggests that no man nor being can see God and yes Joseph Smith saw a manifestation of God and Christ before him in the Sacred Grove. But this need not be the actual Christ or Father he saw. It would have been his interpretation of God and the Son. How he imagines God to be. God is this supreme being that created everything, how could man as inferior as ourselves ever comrehend such a being?

Thus, we will see to our level of understanding and comprehension and no further than that. A time will come however, when our understanding increases and EVENTUALLY we will see God for what He is.

We don't know what Adam looked like. He could have been any kind of creature and he may have been something completely different to what we are today. I am NOT a creationist. I believe that a day in the creation is several thousand years in our time.

So Adam could be a Quark for all we know. Names are meaningless. We provide meaning by giving name an image. That is how children learn their first language. The parent or teacher associates a sound with an image and the child eventually understands that that picture and that sound go together and eventually it become second nature to assume that that is what that thing is. Names and words in the O/N T can mean anything.

Really? Where? I don't see you having posted anything in this thread that gives a biblical or LDS scripture account that gives our modern understanding of physics and cosmology with a series fairy tales that can best be summed up as "goddidit, don't ask so many questions".

I don't think anything is in conflict with any teaching and I could sit here all day and argue and proove that there are no conflicts, but at the end of the day that is my opinion and everything can be interpreted to mean anything.

So you're one of those fools that subscribe to the golden mean fallacy. "It's all opinion, why can't both be right, it can mean anything, blah blah blah..." If we operated on your premise that anything can be interpreted to mean anything (which is usually a line of thought used by morons), the statement "the sky is blue" could be interpreted to mean "the sky is red with purple racing stripes". The end result of that line of thought is we'd all stand around going "my opinion is..." or "my opinion of your opinion" or "my opinion of the your interpretation of my opinion of you opinion of my interpretation of your opinion's interpretation by that guy over there..." and the entire board would collapse on itself in a massive singularity of suck and fail.
