The only thing worse than a damn moron is a pretentious damn moron like Bill Maher. While he was pimping Religulous, he mentioned some patently false b.s. about the New Testament Lazarus narrative (including the name) being ripped off from Egypt. Maher also claimed all economists were on board with Obama's stimulus, which is another lie (See here for a list of prominent economists who disagree with Obama's stimulus). And Maher is an anti-vaccine nut. Who is stupid enough to follow this guy?
It may be a rare day when Crusader and I agree, but this in going to be one of them. Maher is a textbook Hollywood airhead with very little knowledge, education, or intellectual depth but who has, as most comics of his kind, a fine native intelligence and a great command of words and how to use them.
Maher is certainly an "intellectual", but not according to the definition of this term by which we would mean "serious thinker"
The film is Madalyn Murray O' Hair quality intellectually, and nothing more.
