Have you read the book?

What are the seven things suggested to improve the perception of the church?

Actually this may be a good topic for a new thread!

And yeah, seems bad PR is about the only thing that will get the church to change its ways. :sad:

I haven't read the book yet but would like to. We can probably find his 7 suggestions on a website but if If I recall correctly, one of them was to "just be yourself" when approaching potential investigators and not approach every person as a missionary opportunity.


Mormons are really prone to being narrowminded, judgemental, and act superior in a religion that claims to hold the final authority and truth on God. If that means shutting out your mother and father from the most special ceremony of your life, many LDS will justify it.

Not only the wording, but all parts of the ceremony. When I was married in an LDS auditorium/basketball court, we deliberately hired a Judge so that we could write our own vows, have a ring ceremony and even have a full procession which she so desperately wanted. With a big enough crew, those courts can be nicely decorated.
