Yes, it's a step in the right direction. The church claims to be inspired from the same God that inspired their past leaders of several generations but we can clearly see that the direction the church takes is not patterned after the so-called inspiration of their former leaders. The General Authorities depend on advice they get from worldly men (public image consultants) and as the committee they form (the brethren) they slowly make changes.

Changes will come. I think before too long it will be forbidden for church leaders to discuss masturbation with the youth, among other things. Masturbation will no longer be an issue. The church will have to do this in order to survive.
