You honestly don't see a connection?
It's much deeper. If you honestly don't see Mormon treatment of black people today as racist, I doubt pointing it out on an online forum will do much.
You clearly are looking for it. I experience a Church where Gladys Knight and the Saints United Voices sing gospel music in Mormon Churches. Where Mormons seek to embrace and understand different cultures and broaden their understanding of each other. I'm sure you can find racism if you want, but as I've pointed out - it is rare.

Honestly notice what?!? You haven't made the case that racism is rampant in the Mormon Church so I don't care. Even the video that is mentioned in the OP disputes this point with you.

Just to be clear, are there other events in the Book of Mormon that the inspired Nephite prophets falsely attributed to divine intervention? Or is it only the special case of skin color being a curse, which is no longer politically acceptable, where the inspired Nephite prophets wrote in their own prejudices and assumptions and said God did it?

Stay tuned, Darth J.
Mormons these days are so principled. Several points of today's LDS doctrine will be tomorrow's 'speaking as men' when those points become, one by one, politically debunked.

You haven't noticed racism towards the black community or culture among Mormons. That's just unbelievable. Or maybe you live in an area that's racially homogenous and it rarely is a factor.
I don't care if someone in a video defends their religion with a series of arguing points, it's a huge problem with Mormons. Huge problem. The fact that Mormons aren't able to recognize it would only be a first step.
I'm not trying to 'make a case' man, I thought it was something everyone saw. Guess not, the video proves Mormons aren't racist so good job on turning that around.

I am talking common sense. The nephites did not have a european skin color. So, they were not white. And someone sent me links of church art showing the people with brown skin which only confirmed what I said. These people are seen as having brown skin and not lily white.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world. Joseph Smith We are “to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all…” Joseph Smith

I believe that many critics on this board must have been taliban Mormons in the church. And now they still are taliban exmormons expecting everyone to be who they were when members of the church. And this is the problem when it comes to much discussion about Mormons and cultural norms and opinions.

American Indians do not literally have red skin. Therefore, no one has ever referred to American Indians as "redskins" or "red men."
African Americans tend to have sort of a dark brown skin color. They are not literally black. Therefore, nobody ever refers to African Americans as "black people."
Fair-skinned Caucasians are sort of a pinkish hue. They are not literally white. Therefore, nobody ever refers to Caucasians as "white people."
Yep.....it's just common sense.

Indeed. All those people who think that the Church teaches that pornography is wrong and that it's not okay to dry hump before you're married just have no idea what mainstream LDS cultural norms are.

I sent you the link and it certainly did show white skin on all the ones showing Nephites and darker skin on lamanites just like you would see with native Americans. Now since this is not part of the Book of Mormon and only artists depictions, back up what is incorrect by using the text of the Book of Mormon. I think you know you cannot just as with another website we all remember you failing with.
