The unemployment rate in countries like Mexico is very low because it attracts many companies. Do we really want predatory corporations to come to the US because of low taxes and wages? Do we really want to compete with countries like Mexico for slavery wage jobs?

Maybe not for slavery wage jobs, but we most certainly should try to compete when it comes to tax rates.

Compete with countries like Mexico? There is no need to attract predatory corporations from other countries, just let the good corporations and small businesses grow. Foreign corporations that are only after low wages and small tax rates are not worth it.
And give me a break, do corporations like Walmart really need a tax cuts? and aren't corporate taxes a burden to corporations which helps small businesses?
Unions is the only answer. But Republicans love slavery almost as much as they hate unions.
Not with DJT. This is why he's going to break your blue wall again in the rust belt.

Unions were how Communism created the USSR; they used the unions to force the government to make concessions, wormed their way into the leadership on the backs of the unions, then disbanded (made illegal) the unions.
The coal miners' union is how the economy crashed in Ukraine; they were powerful enough to force wage increases for the union, which drove the price of everything up, making everyone not union fall further behind and the union workers get nowhere. Unions driving up wages is poison to any economy. Maintaining artificially high wages, ditto that. Unions strike to the detriment of everyone but themselves. Unions were not ever the answer to oppressive employers: representative Gov't is the answer, legislating enough controls to appeal to the "general welfare". It is a balancing act between free market practices and Gov't controls: the bugbear in the room, in the war between conservative and liberal ideals.

Why don't politicians do that here?

This is just another myth conjured up by rich people who want to rationalize why its OK to keep cutting their taxes more and more. Only idiots like you believe it. General Electric pays zero taxes, so what will it take to bring them back to the USA?
Depending how you are defining "zero taxes", that claim about GE probably isn't true.
But the key point is that prices (and taxes) change behavior. If corporate income tax rates fall, then we should expect a change in behavior. That appears to be what Germany has recognized.
