This so thoroughly misunderstands what Martin Luther King was saying and what his politics were about that it immediately flags people of using this reasoning as profoundly ignorant or acting in bad faith.

that's not what the article claims, not what the facts support, and we are still left with an unsupported claim.... except, as predicted, you guys are starting to hint at the traditional Democrat brand of racism. maybe read the Times article again and then get back to us.
