In the spirit of reconciliation, I’d like to welcome Dr. Exiled back and extend the hand of bipartisanship and inclusiveness, which is and always has been part of our core values at Cassius.

Before Trump flees to Moscow, I imagine he will pardon Julian Assange and award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Same for Guccifer 2.0 at the hackers collective in St. Petersburg.

We’re up to 68 arrests, a Republican Rep is calling for the 25th to be used, and former AG Barr said Trump is a damn up, more or less.

Wild times.

- Doc
The only prob. I see with the 25th coming into play is, Pence, having command could then pardon the idiot. A pardon that might actually stick. Yeah, we would still have the potential state charges in play, but I wanna see treason type stuff laid down by the new AG. Deterrent type actions for the next cotton suckers that come along, who now have the Trump template to dictatorship... but are slightly less stupid. We know their names. The cert. objector yea-sayers.

I don't think we can stop a pardon regardless. Trump's term ends at noon on the 20th. He could resign at 11:45 a.m. and Pence could pardon him. If Pence is willing to pardon him, we can't stop that. Personally, I think that Pence is smarter than to pardon Trump. There is a battle going on right now for the soul of the Republican Party, and I'm not sure Pence wants to be on the side of yesterday's rioters.

I stayed up and watched most of the cert. process happenings. I have to say I was a bit in admiration of the Pence-ster.

Agreed, although I think it mostly feels remarkable to me because I didn't know he had the right thing in him.

I'm not a Pence fan, but I thought he handled an extremely difficult situation well yesterday. I fault him for waiting so long before telling the simple truth. But, at the end of the day, he stuck with his conservative principles rather than discard them for short-term gain. So, props to him for that.
