Although I see no reason to ever "close" the call for moderators, I think we can make a couple of decisions with confidence right now.
SPEAKING AS A MODERATOR:
Gadianton, please make Res Ipsa, Xenophon, and canpakes into moderators. Please also create a hidden forum called "The Moderator Forum" at the bottom of the list of forums (fora?), in its own group, so you, me, and those three can consult with each other, seek feedback on "iffy" calls, advise each other on technical knowledge that's necessary for moderating, etc. Just us five should have access for the time being, please.
I hope everyone will always feel that they can speak their mind on the topic.

I won't speak for anyone else but as long as I'm mod I absolutely hope you will voice concerns around moderation to me publicly or via PM. I make no promise about actions and understand my task is to replicate Shade's as best as I can but I'll never be one to not at least hear your concerns and share them with the team.
