Whites Only!

Post by Shulem »

The lily-white depiction of a stylized Jesus at his Second Coming appeals to the Caucasian-persuasion adopted by Mormons who love a blue-eyed Jesus as depicted in so much LDS art. Notice this Jesus is not accompanied by African or Asian angels as he returns to the earth in judgment. Do you suppose people of Asian and African decent would feel slighted to learn their dead kin are not with Jesus?

It's certainly nice to know that at least one black man made it to heaven. That's progress (baby step) but you'd think more would be better!

That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for the African race!

Re: The Making of Brigham Young

Post by Shulem »

As Joseph Smith's successor, Brigham Young was sustained to the office of President of the Church in Iowa prior to crossing the plains into Utah. Everyone knows that during Young's administration he was guilty of making inflammatory racist comments towards Africans and banning them from the priesthood and all temple blessings. Young was at least gracious enough to allow people of African descent to join the church by being baptized which was a right afforded by God as expressed in the Book of Mormon: "He inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God."

Under Young's leadership, several men were called to serve in the Quorum of the Twelve, including: Charles C. Rich, Lorenzo Snow, Erastus Snow, Franklin D. Richards, George Q. Cannon, Joseph F. Smith, Brigham Young Jr., Albert Carrington -- notably two of which became future Presidents of the Church. These apostles and prophets sustained the action of banning blacks from the priesthood and maintained racist bigotry towards people of African descent based on revelatory religious theology and a claim of divine racism towards the seed of Cain & Ham as understood in LDS scripture.

Did Brigham Young ever suspect that someday, far in the future, in a day when the Son of Man had still not returned, a black man would be sustained and ordained an apostle in the Utah Mormon church? How hardly! To Brigham, blacks were slaves of state and servants made to serve those of a more choice lineage, especially those who claim they are of the seed of Ephraim.

Racism and Mormonism go hand in hand, even today.

Re: White & Delightsome Children of God

Post by Shulem »

The famed painting of the Pre-Existence by Jerry Harston has been used extensively by the LDS church since the 1970's in official curriculum, publications, and missionary teaching lessons. It depicts spirits in heaven as white and delightsome having fair skin. No dark-skinned persons at all, just lily-white persons. Naturally, this precedes the physical mark of dark skin or color as had by Africans and Lamanites. All LDS art shows Heavenly Father as a Caucasian who fathers a white race. We may assume for the sake of argument that all LDS prophets believed Heavenly Father's spirit children were naturally white in the pre-existence.

Think how people of color feel about this scene as young white missionaries tell them about the plan of salvation. LDS theology would suggest that white spirit children who come to earth to get physical bodies will be resurrected with glorified bodies covered with white skin -- a pure, fair, and delightsome people to live with Heavenly Father again.

I say this in the name of blue-eyed Jesus, Amen.

The famed painting...
More disconcerting to me is that none of these religous pictures of "heaven" everr show a tropical beach. No straw hats. No flip flaps. No boats. No Steely Dan. No Led Zeppelin. No Tiki bars. No tasty brews. I hear they have all that stuff on the Telestial planet. ;)

O Pratt

Post by Shulem »

Apostle Orson Pratt understood the dark colored skin of the Lamanites was the result of a curse put on them by the Lord exactly as described in the Book of Mormon. The word "complexion" as it relates to skin is defined in Webster's 1828 Dictionary as "The color of the skin, particularly of the face; the color of the external parts of a body or thing; as a fair complexion; a dark complexion."

Orson Pratt, 1840 wrote:But, on the other hand, the Lamanites, because of the hardness of their hearts, brought down many judgments upon their own heads; nevertheless, they were not destroyed as a nation; but the Lord God sent forth a curse upon them, and they became a dark, loathsome, and filthy people. Before their rebellion, they were white and exceedingly fair, like the Nephites; but the Lord God cursed them in their complexions, and they were changed to a dark colour;

So, accordingly, we are given to understand that God cursed them in their complexions because as far as the Book of Mormon is concerned, dark skin color *was* a curse.

It's as simple as that.

Apologetic apostates evade punishment for now

Post by Shulem »

Is it not so that LDS apologists (namely Don Bradley in this case) have taken it upon themselves to act like new prophets for Mormonism and throw *THE* former Apostles & Prophets® under the bus and mock them for teaching racist doctrines contained in the Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price? So far, they have have managed to evade and shield themselves from Church discipline because current church leaders don't want to deal with the embarrassment of having to discipline apostates and bring attention to the bloody mess in which Mormonism and racism are inseparably connected -- namely, the whole "House of Israel" and the racist tribe of Ephraim. It's all bloody racism! All of it! :x

But it seems that Prophet Don thinks he's better than the prophets who were ordained for the purpose of declaring doctrine to the entire church and revealing Mormonism in its purity. Don thinks he's better than them because he can come up with all manner of fancy-dancy parallels and wild-ass excuses to explain it all away.

Shame on the apologists! In the past they would have been formerly disciplined by church leaders and even excommunicated for trampling over the teachings of the Apostles & Prophets!

That includes you, Prophet Don. Do you think you're better than the prophets? Please, you coward, get your ass back in this thread and answer the Goddamn question:

Mormon at ages 11, 15, 24 is really Joseph Smith Jr., in disguise!

Where are you Don?

FYI

On April 6, 2025 (10 months ago) I made a conscious decision to ease up on Don because of his loss and allow him to grieve without me causing a nasty stir because it was the right thing to do. I immediately stopped posting in this thread until May 23, 2025 (p. 23) to give it a 6-week break and attempted to lighten up on personal attacks/insults on Don and just stick to the argument. Very recently, 10 days ago, I announced The gloves are off and I expect some answers (a reply) and then see where it goes from there.

I feel that I've been somewhat reasonable.

Jesus...........

It certainly appears that Bradley has been doing a lot of testifying of Mormon Jesus as of late, for example, here is this one through Scripture Central on YouTube with over 74k views:

How Joseph Smith's 1st Revelation...Gives Us Our 18th President, Dallin H. Oaks | Don Bradley

Don is doing everything in his power in a public domain to promote and maintain faith in the Church which in turn invites everyone to join and pay 10% of their income to an insidious organization that doesn't need more money! I will oppose his testimonial in the manner that suits my fancy, right here on Dr. Shade's free speech board for which I am grateful to participate. I'm going to be very tough and do everything in my power to burn Mormonism to the ground. If you don't like it, you can move out of the way and simply ignore it.

So, that's that, my friend.
