Of course it depends on how you define "spiritual." As I said, Mormon spirituality is vastly different than how I view it today. When I stopped believing in the Mormon version of God, and the "plan of salvation," everything changes. And yes, in my mind, getting comfortable with one's place in the universe is a very important objective.

Speaking as an agnostic, I think spirituality is all there is to it. I define spirituality as an internal mechanism that enables one to optimize their life's experience by couching it in meaning. Organized religion only provides a standardized template for this meaning, and it can be harmful if someone finds themselves using the wrong template for their personality.
