Dang rights..... I have seen it almost ad infinitum. We are either accused of being braindead or brainwashed. The point is we inbreed by only quoting other LDS in supportive ways and faith promoting pablum and fluff. FARMS Review destroys this tissue of silliness. But now it takes it in the teeth for actually using brains. Sheesh.

I guess it isn't easy to satisfy people who simply do not like what you stand for
I'm not too overly worried about even satisfying them. They are free to learn and make their choices.
Thanks Tom. That sure is one big backhoe. At this point, I think anyone who is trying to promote Gee's review of the Fischer's as insightful, necessary, or *normal* by any stretch of the word is in danger of losing all credibility.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

This was an excellent post. It is transparently obvious that the "Meldrum Fiasco" has not been an isolated incident. Indeed, there is a growing body of literature demonstrating that this Gnostic Mormon Coup has been in effect for quite some time. Reading Dr. Robbers's O.P., I was (oddly) reminded of The Novak-Midgely co-authored piece in which they exulted in the destruction of Objectivity. Well: of course they do. But, does this not constitute a form of apostasy on their part? I mean, surely there is nothing "subjective" about doctrinal pronouncements, right? I would be interested in hearing the apologists explain how the Gold Plates were experienced in a merely "subjective" way by Joseph Smith. After all, historical objectivity does not exist. Thus, the Book of Mormon cannot be seen as an historically "objective" document.
Gad and Scratch you are quite a team! Thanks guys!
... our church isn't true, but we have to keep up appearances so we don't get shunned by our friends and family, fired from our jobs, kicked out of our homes, ... Please don't tell on me. ~maklelan

Yes, quite a team!
