If you haven't heard the lyrics (and you just listen to the popular instrumental version), don't listen to this! (Same thing with "Stranger on the Shore").

Once you hear the words, they'll pop into your mind and ruin the instrumental version every time after.

One of my favorite musical sequences ever is the montage that starts with the kids walking through Salzburg, leading to the picnic and Do-Re-Mi. I've seen it in 70mm a few times, and I'm always amazed at how well the film is put together.

The first half of the movie is very pleasant but the second half has some darker moments. Still, it's my favorite movie and I love the scene you mentioned. Perhaps it's my favorite.
