I'm sorry that Consig was banned. When I read his post, I feared that that would be his fate, and it was. What a loss for an already thread-bare board.

Anyone mentioning Will's paper is likely to get insta-banned. That just goes to show what a sore point the whole mess is.

I makes me wonder how much status you have to have at the board to 1) not get banned for referencing the story and 2) not have the thread erased. Surely if Ben McGuire posted about it he'd be fine. I wonder where the cutoff point is.

At the risk of throwing a wet towel on the wild conspiratorializing about the so-called MAD moderators, but I am somewhat confussed. Are the moderators that are supposedly favoring and protecting Will in this case, the same moderators that supposedly favored Bokovoy et. all. against Will et. al. in other cases?

I suppose it couldn't possibly be that the moderatng had nothing to do with favoring Will, and everything to do with nipping a potentially unseemly discussion in the bud?

Probably not the main reasons. Considering that they have not closed the thread like they usually would, but deleted them and banned the persons who started them suggests much more.
