In the face of madness, rationality has no power - Xiao Wang, US historiographer, 2287 AD.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

That's true. I really do.

Well, except when I love, like, or are indifferent to them. But otherwise, yeah.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Holy f***, what a c***.

Tip of the iceberg.

My kids are older now but when they were young my father approached me saying he would give yearly Xmas gifts of cash to my kids if we set up savings accounts for them that they could access when they turned 18 years old. After the divorce, she put her name on the accounts and slowly drained them. Two of my kids have badgered her into getting all or part of their money. I have a 25 year old son with Asperger's who will never see his money. My other 14 year old daughter defends her mother to the death and is in denial that she stole her savings. There is still time for her if she wakes up.

Another point I brought to the Bishop's attention was a $4000 loan we took from my folks to pay a medical bill. Part of the divorce agreement was that $4000 from our savings at splitting up would go to her to pay the loan off. That never happened. My folks didn't want to go after her for it (kind of uncomfortable for them), but I sure heard about it.

Lastly, my kids recently received $48,000 each in an inheritance. My two oldest kids and my 14 year old daughter have control of theirs. She put my Asperger's son's $48,000 into a savings account for him. With her name on it. I'll have to get some legal advice to protect that money for him. Hopefully I can do so before she has drained too much of it.

I guess I'm lucky she is a worthy temple recommend holder or there is no telling what she would do.

Please look into the 14 year old's $ immediately. Being underage, she really does not have legal control over it. Some adult (hopefully not her mother) has actual control over it, as far as the depository institution is concerned.

Fortunately, for now, it is in a 5-year CD.

Whichever adult has the authority over that CD could cash it out, albeit taking a haircut penalty.

Yeah, I know. At least there are more eyes on her now (my other kids) and she can't access it with her ATM card. I'm more concerned with my son's account that has her name on it. She'll drain that first. Maybe for gas money to get to the temple.
