Pahoran may be a rather venomous sort, but at least there's some substance.

Apparently challenging the claims of Mormonism on a board entitled "Mormon Discussions" constitutes an insult to those here, who appear to be mostly disgruntled, bitter, whining ex-Mormons.

Look, PLEASE ignore me, if you intend to just follow the pattern here with all the usual moaning and complaining that so characterizes this whole forum. For my part I intend to continue to post challenges to the claims of Mormonism in what is likely to be a futile effort to ses if anyone can manage to present a cogent argument in support of those claims, or until I just get board with all the crybabying around here.

Fair enough.

Here is hoping you bore soon.

Challenging the claims of Mormonism does not constitute an insult. If you haven't noticed, you've successfully obliterated whatever message you had by making you and your insulting and hostile attacks the subject, not Mormonism. I may be a whining wimp, but at least I'm smart enough to know how to approach a debate without alienating all sides.

I remember reading a nibley interpretation of some ancient text such as pistis sophia. Nibley managed to translate some of the passages into the script of the temple ceremony. Later, research displayed how incredibly inaccurate the translation was...fun.

by the way, I have yet to encounter a nde suggesting passwords and handshakes were required.

That's probably because NDEs tend to reflect the culture of the person.

often times true. Either way, I think passwords and handshakes appear problematic.

It is kind of convenient that Masonic-derived signs and tokens appeared in Mormonism shortly after Joseph Smith learned them by becoming a Mason.

From a more common-sense or logical perspective. I have a hard time imagining passwords and handshakes needed, especially if God is all knowing.

Gate Keeper: I need some passwords and handshakes we have a ton of dead people trying to get in and we don't even have their name on the list.
Me: I forget them, as I got older I suffered from dementia. Can you let me in this one time.
Gate Keeper: No, my boss will fire me. I am sorry, but if your are not on the list and do not have passwords and handshakes then you have to go.
Me: It is late, I just passed through, can I just get in I don't know where else to go.
Gate Keeper and Flaming Sword: This is your first warning to leave you get two more.
Me: i leave and I guess go to another kingdom where I cannot have s3x or teleport between kolob and other kingdoms.
