This isn't a courtroom, it's a discussion board. I think we should deal with what's on the board directly in front of us with no exceptions other than perhaps the online activity of a public figure. His posts here should stand or fall on their own and so should our own arguments for/against them.

So no, I think it's bad form to dredge that up here.

Really. Who is stalking you online, EA? The playing field should remain level here and his history limited to what he's posted on this board.

That's why we don't reveal private messages here, that's why we've removed posts that contain a person's in real life, that's why we used to have a policy here not to quote folks from other sources unless it's a public figure.

Well, this isn't a courtroom, so nannying about what is admissible to discuss seems rather out of place. Again, when a person entering a conversation is being dishonest about their thoughts and you have rock solid proof of that and it helps you understand what they are saying, that's usually a normal thing people would converse about. If you don't understand why that's helpful, that's fine, but there's no need to criticize others who do.
