I was commenting that it seems clear her chances were diminished as a result of how our culture still feels about her gender.

It's not our culture. It's the Democratic party culture.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Oh yeah, because Republicans are just clamoring for a woman President.

Not only does the GOP base not want a woman, they want a guy who assaults women. That's how much they respect women.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

As a reminder our Mormon priesthood holder and MDB poster called Ajax18 posts under different black parody accounts (see above for one of them) and regularly posts @ stormfront.org as detailed here:

Additionally, he kvetched and kvetches endlessly about Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

Michelle “Mommy” Malkin describes this as the point and sputter method.

No real substance, no rational argument.

Just “look at this thing, isn’t it SO bad?” Followed by *incoherent Neanderthal noises*

And you are 100% wrong if you think that I am the problem.

I'm not sure how to respond to this. There's almost more irony here than I can handle.

Okay listen, so far in 2020 I had 4 dates. (2 dates with the same young woman, and 1 date with two others). I did not change my attitude. I had to get a new cell phone and spend a lot more money on Tinder. I also had to spend money to take a class. The culture is changing and things are not easy for young single men anymore. Young women have changed, trust me it is much easier to talk to older women. It is easier to get the attention of older women. Young women just don't notice you and it is not easy to get a date with one. It probably was easy in your generation, but not on mine.

Some Schmo wrote:DT, what I said was that sexism had an impact. I didn't claim it cost her the nomination, and I agree that it's impossible to quantify. You're not getting numbers. I'm not trying to prove Warren didn't win because she's a woman. I was commenting that it seems clear her chances were diminished as a result of how our culture still feels about her gender.

Okay, so we agree on almost everything. However, I think her gender helped her in the Democratic primary. A lot of Democrats supporter her just because she is a woman. I doubt there is a big number of sexist Democrats, it is not the Republican primary.

Some Schmo wrote:I'm not desperate for a woman President, but it would signal a kind of progression. It's not about the woman herself, but what that move would say about our culture.

What progression? To repeat "Women in America have more opportunities than men, and according to the bls 51.8% "Management, professional, and related occupations" are held by women, and young women make more than young men" https://www.bls.gov/cps/cpsaat11.htm

The gender of the president really doesn't matter, what matters is the American people.

Can you provide a source link for the statements you put in quotes? The link you attached is just a spreadsheet of statistics.

11. Employed persons by detailed occupation, sex, race, and Hispanic or Latino ethnicity [Numbers in thousands]
Women
Management, professional, and related occupations 51.8

"Childless Women In Their Twenties Out-Earn Men. So?"
"Women in their 20s without children out-earn men by as much as $1.08 to every dollar, according to some estimates."
https://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2 ... 6e2c77a82c

And it is like it is. I am not going to whine about it.

Come on. DT. You put this in quotes:

“Women in America have more opportunities than men, and according to the bls 51.8% "Management, professional, and related occupations" are held by women, and young women make more than young men"

None of the additional links you gave have that quotation in it. Where did you get that quotation? Was it a real quotation, or not? Or were you just quoting your own OPINION from page 1 of this thread?

I quoted myself from earlier. I said, "To repeat". Here is the original.

We are no longer in the 1960s, and we shouldn't be desperate for a female president.

That link does not support your opinion.
