James O'Keefe has a variety of examples of getting "undercover" footage that has been selectively edited to give misleading, and some cases, outright the opposite impression. He also has been caught attempting to solicit people to claim the narratives he wants to make. He's a habitability dishonest propagandist. Why would you link anything from him and expect your audience to trust it?

O'Keefe has has a lengthy history of deceptively editing and manufacturing videos. My point is that you cannot just "watch the video" and expect it to give you a reliable representation of the narrative it is attempting to create.

Gov. Cuomo called a question about police using excessive force against protesters "incendiary" and claimed "they don't do that."

Cuomo is aware as anyone of police violence in the streets. He's not expressing ignorance there.

Just a reminder to Jersey Girl that Cuomo, in fact, is awful.

If you want to convince me how awful he is, EA, give me a link so I can hear the comment in context.

I'd also like to know why you choose to focus on his statements regarding police violence without addressing the civilian violence they are dealing with and what you would do to curb violence in a city of 8 million with a police force of 40 thousand.

I choose to focus on this statements regarding police violence because it is both offensive and encourages further police violence. He suggests it is not occurring, when it is rampant, and attacked the reporter for asking the question like a more articulate version of Trump. That's because he has authoritarian tendencies himself and really only benefits when being compared to the dumpster fire going on in the Republican party. Happily, in terms of response to rioting, actively attempting to quell police violence is part of the solution because one of the drivers, arguably a main driver, of rioting has been excessive force by police. Cuomo is actively making the problem worse to signal he is on the side of law enforcement. While Democrats are nominally the more civil libertarian party, they have a lot of bad apples too; hence the scope of the problem, and Cuomo is one of them. `

This comes a few days after he called for a ban on excessive force as an empty political gesture and had acknowledged the problem. He knows it is an issue.

And he gets rewarded for doing it with Politico-brain headlines like this:

I watched the video. I have little doubt that there may be bad people who identify or claim to identify with antifa and its aims, but EA and RI are right. O'Keefe and his Project Veritas infamously have no inhibitions against fabricating false narratives and deliberately deceptive videos to support their agenda. They have often been caught at it. We are well justified in being highly skeptical about any of their claims and "expository" videos.

This doesn't mean they wouldn't eagerly expose real dirt or nefarious behavior by their liberal opponents. Of course they would! But unless it is also corroborated by others less infamously dishonest than Veritas or O'Keefe, I'm not going to take it seriously!
