I do not think Themis really understands what this means.
Do You? You are still avoiding my questions which are reasonable. Why avoid reasonable questions? Keep in mind that I went from a theist to agnostic, so the statement from CCC cannot be correct.
I think this thread demonstrates what a waste of time it is to engage with Franktalk.
He has his imaginings, which he dignifies with the title 'inner journey'. These, and the associated fantasies of special access to the truth about Life, The Universe and Everything mean a lot to him. He gets a lot of fun posting them on this board. He is not about to lose any of that by admitting that he is simply a silly old guy who is making it all up.
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
I am shocked I tell you, shocked. There are people out there playing around with the theory of quantum mechanics. Don't they know that the theory is fact and will never change?

What if more scientist took the view that theories could be wrong? Maybe the universe would explode?
And if you remember John G Cramer who came up earlier, a professor of physics at the University of Washington, also had a unique view and interpretation of Quantum Mechanics.
He also originated and published a paper on "The Transactional Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics" (TIQM) in July 1986,[6] which is inspired from the Wheeler–Feynman Time-symmetric theory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_G._Cramer
The reason that various interpretations can be entertained is because the data has not been available to pin an exact interpretation down. It's no more than what takes place with theories of the universe that involve higher dimensions. There isn't any data to decide which is right so there is a period of time when many possible ideas can flourish. Then usually along the way someone finds some data that weeds out some of the former possibilities.
This is the way science has always worked Frank and there is no big surprises here and there is nothing that formerly was accepted that is getting "overthrown" it is merely a process of refinement in our understanding with the passing of time.
It is no different than the discovery that there was no aether with the Michelson-Morely experiment. Ideas getting constrained by new discovery. Many possibilities getting trimmed down to few or just one.
In other words you have no point to make, again.

Kolob’s set time is “one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest” (Abraham 3:4). I take this as a round number. - Gee

Well if your metric is Franktalk changing then you are correct of course. I enjoy the interaction for its entertainment value and an occasional chuckle.
I haven't been posting around here as long as you and this Franktalk experience is newer to me than to the rest of you. I will soon tire as he continues to repeat his non-arguments and brings nothing new. The fizzle is close at hand. Much closer than the return of Jebus certainly.

Theories are just the best explanation we have, so far, for any given observation. As such they are always tentative. In other words We demand that any theory be subject to change, even if those changes are slow in coming.
by the way The universe is continuing to expand at an increasing rate.

The point is you believe there is a point where a theory moves into being fact. You have done so with evolution yet we have just begun to really understand the mechanism of life. You also refuse to accept that the future holds things we can't even imagine today. This means that everything we think we know may be just a wrong interpretation of the data. You believe you are right. Thus a belief system. One in which you refuse to acknowledge.

There are a few on this site that say theory is indeed fact. Just ask Spotlight if evolution is fact he will be glad to tell you.
The redshift of distant starlight is interpreted as an expanding universe. It seems you are just as caught up with declaring things fact as the rest of them.
And here is where you go off the rails Frank. Evolution is an observable phenomena just like gravity, evolution is real, gravity is real. The theory of evolution is our best explanation for the action of the observed evidence, just like the theory of gravity is our best explanation for the how and why or gravity.
There is no question in the scientific community whether evolution is occurring or not, the influence of fitness to drive life to best utilize its niche is reality, evolution is a fact. The theory of evolution is our best description of how the fact operates.

It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.
Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality. ~Bill Hamblin
