Gaz, how often do you eat meat?

I keep my house at 73 degrees, so its always like winter here.

That's a weasely answer. How often do you eat meat, Gaz?

Frequently.

But I can't walk on water yet either. Maybe that's why.

Then you aren't keeping the Word of Wisdom, are you?

BEHOLD! The Lord thy God looks up the directives of the WoW in varying degrees of allowance!

And Mormons wonder why nevermos think that LDS members are a bunch of kooks...

The reason Gaz continues to eat meat like a nevermo drinks coffee is because his cult leader has not told him otherwise.

Actually I have been told. D&C 89:12-13 states it quite clearly.

I'll chalk that up on the board with my many other faults. It will fall far below Charity, being more perfect in my titheing, and in more frequent and regular prayer.

None of us are perfect, which is why I have such a problem with any religion that expects you to be to attain the goodies in afterlife!

Hi Mormonmistress,

According to the missionaries in Japan and the members there, green tea is against the Word of Wisdom. Only mugi-cha, a barley tea, is ok.

Hi Mormonmistress, might that better be: 'M...mistrust'? ;-) LOL!

Quite probably!

IF they really took the WoW seriously, obesity wouldn't be as prevelant as it is in Mormonism. Since oral gratification, as practiced in the broad society, is, generally speaking, frowned upon in LDSism, only eating remains to satisfy that natural urge. So, food is front and centre at most LDS gatherings, and in households, in quite excessive amounts. But hey, we all have our weaknesses. Right!?

Yeah, we do. Maybe a new prophet will come along who tells Mormons that they will be booted out of the church if they end up overweight. They seem to control everything else, so why not this as well. Mind you, with obesity being so prevalent in today's society, losing so many members because of it would be a financial disaster.

Thanksfor the clarification :)
