Yeah, Pacino finally won an Oscar for that movie, even though he'd had several outstanding, arguably even better performances prior to that movie. Scarface, in my opinion, is the best acting performance I believe I've ever seen. And he wasn't anything less than brilliant in Godfather II, as well.
He'd make a terrible Mormon. Thank goodness.
It's achieved cult flick status for me. Obviously.
Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

I read the Nehor's thread and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was refreshing to see jovial discussion there. Even Nemesis (Juliann?) joined in.
It made me think what a different direction MAD would take if Nehor, Asbestosman and perhaps Katherine-the-Great were to take over the moderation duties there. Scratch would not refer to them as the Harpie Squad.

I have no doubt he'd still come up with an insulting name. I think Scratch is up to it.
"Surely he knows that DCP, The Nehor, Lamanite, and other key apologists..." -Scratch clarifying my status in apologetics "I admit it; I'm a petty, petty man." -Some Schmo
Jersey Girl wrote:... Now ask me to quote Pacino in Scent of a Woman! ...
I'm sorry, I would quote Vittorio Gassman, from the orginal movie. (see the description here)
At that time I was 29, member of the army since eleven years. And a brand new captain.
Profumo di donna (Scent of a Woman) is a Commedia all'italiana film directed by Dino Risi in 1974 based on Il buio e il miele, a story by Giovanni Arpino. Both Risi and the leading actor Vittorio Gassman won important Italian and French awards. There is also an American remake

The No to Nehor "campaign". I guess MAD's "no personal threads" policy lies somewhere in Solzhenitzen's Siberia. Ah, at least they're lightning up. Maybe Nehor is making a bid to be a Pundit?
You're right, Ray. The Nehor feels like a loser, and has been using the forum to alleviate his "symptoms.". The same holds true for Jersey Girl, who is de-railing yet another thread with her blather. I wonder: can anyone identify for me the last time that Jersey Girl produced a substantive, wise, interesting, or entertaining post? I'm really interested to know about this.
That promise of donuts was one sharp move on Nehor's part. Once he gets Dr. Peterson on his side, the rest of the MAD Board of Directors will go along with it.
Scratch, I think Nehor hangs on to Mormonism for reasons other than a "literal belief". When you see someone posting like he is, you can be assured that he believes in Mormonism as much as he believes in Irish leprechauns. I can understand the attraction to "good moral values". And I think that's what he's defending, though I could be wrong. He may need an enema. But I think he's in to the entertainment side more, because he can't bear to do posts like Gaz, because he doesn't believe a damned word Gaz writes.
