Can anyone explain why these guys spend so much time on what these witnesses supposedly saw? What difference does it possibly make if no one can find evidence of Book of Mormon history? Is this just a game to take focus off the real problem? Seems like it to me.

When it is almost all you got, you have to protect it. This is why they get so bent out of shape when others want to look at the whole picture of the 11 witnesses.
