It dropped as low as 7,384 a month after Obama took office, and you're faulting him because it didn't quite triple before he left office?

The upward trajectory throughout his tenure indicated 20,000 was inevitable no matter who was President. The DOW set records 123 times during Obama. But your response verifies your substupid level understanding of the market and the President's over-hyped sense of relevance. The President rarely ever has anything to do with the bumps and dives in the market. The dips during Obama are easily explained by external global factors beyond his control (i.e. Greece defaulting, Brexit, debt-ceiling crisis created by Republicans, etc). However, the big drops during Trump are easily tied to his tweets, scandals and stupid trade war etc.

The only reason this is a funny issue is because Trumping morons were hyping Trump's success for 2017 by lying about his job numbers and also by equating his success with stock market performance. Now that the market is in correction mode, suddenly the market has nothing to do with Trump. Amirite?

Trump bungled his latest appointee nomination. Spectacularly. Ronnie Jackson is a disaster as a head of the second largest agency in the federal government. Trump's lack of understanding or respect for the realities and responsibilities of government undermines the confidence of all thinking people. His own clownish narcissistic antics are endangering Wall Street along with many others.

I've been thinking about the Ronnie Jackson nomination, and what it says about Trump's decision making process. I think he sees Jackson's lack of administrative experience the same way he views his own lack of governmental experience, as the fresh perspective that will cut through bureaucratic nonsense and simplify everything.

Jackson's nomination reveals the the lack of vetting process. His confirmation hearing has been postponed while the Committee looks into whistle-blower allegations that Jackson's office was a toxic work environment and excessive heavy drinking. It's been pointed out that a more competent executive branch would have done a little vetting on a virtually unknown and apparently unqualified candidate to Make America THE V.A.Great Again without even vetting his own performance in the White House.

I think you mean, now suddenly the market has nothing to do with Obama. Check your posts, dribbler.

Who said the markets had anything to do with Obama? If I ever said anything about the markets during Obama it was to point out the stupidity of the Right who assured us all the market would collapse during Obama. The real hypocrisy is on your end. For eight years we were told the booming markets had nothing to do with Obama and neither did the dropping unemployment rates. But the Orange guy hadn't even taken office yet before the Right Wing started crediting him with improvements in bother areas. Trump was bragging about the markets as a reflection of his superior leadership, as recently as January. You know, just before we hit correction mode. Now the idiots on the Right are modifying their strategy from bragging about the markets, to criticizing the left for saying things they never said about Obama.

By the way, the DOW is down again - 200 points. It is at 23,800 which is where it was at almost 6 months ago. Guess all those tax cuts didn't have quite the effect you thought huh. #MAGA

did not know if you were still keeping up with the DOW, or if you were cherry picking for those frequent masturbatory moments you enjoy.

Oh darn I missed his insult. Let me guess, he's still infatuated with my genitalia?

What ever am I going to do? I guess just point out how ignorant substupid really is about the market. So Friday the DOW had its best day in over three weeks thanks to Warren Buffet buying 75 million shares of Apple. So we're back where we were in Mid-April. Someone needs to let substupid in on the fact that we'll be in correction mode until the DOW hits 26,617 - at which point we'll be right back where we were in January.

actually, not sure why it was edited, apart from protecting yet another fragile snowflake i suppose...all i did was link to a website listing 10 famous people with the same thing in common...but alas, maybe a mod thought it was related to whoever you are and thought you needed a safe space. I admit that wisdom is beyond my abilities (as my moniker admits).

(and to be fair, I don't think I have ever been at the level of infatuation with regards to your genitalia, indeed I am unaware of which or what genitalia you may possess given the androgynous nature of your avatar. Now there was another poster on this board, KevinG, that was rather forward about his own genitalia - sharing intimate details and such - which seemingly would make for fair game...and you are most likely unaware that on a discussion board fairness and moderation are not synonymous).

always an excuse with your posts...i'm comfortable letting the record of your inept economic posts to date continue to provide the comedic backdrop for your tencaity on this thread.
keep on keeping on my friend - because the DOW sure will be.
