There is a very simple way to prove that the shooter was *not* a “leftist”: he had a gun. One of the defining features of Leftism is that it is staunchly anti-gun. Feel free to prove me wrong about that. The fact is that this guy had a gun and had been trained in how to use it. Leftists want to make it as hard as possible to get a gun, to carry a gun, to learn how to hit targets from 200 meters away. These are things that Leftists would like to deprive people of.
I can't tell if you're being serious or if this post is meant to be sarcastic. Do you really think that liberals don't own guns or support the Second Amendment?

If you're truly serious, you're essentially suggesting that liberals do not uphold the constitution as it is written.

In Washington DC, 80% of the population identifies as liberal. In the past month since Trump took control of law enforcement in the city, 230 guns have been seized. Are you suggesting that by stating liberals don't possess guns, you imply that all individuals from whom those guns were confiscated were conservatives?

When Harris and Walz mentioned in 2024 that they both have guns, do you think they were referring to water guns, or perhaps those classic cap guns that children used to play with in the 70s and 80s?

Here is an update in regards to Charlie Kirk's killer:

Regards,
MG
I trust Fox News (source in that msn article) as much as I trust the DailyMail.

Funny how Tyler Robinson was living with his parents in the first news reports but now he's in a clandestine trans-relationship in an apartment they shared.

MAGA is freaking out that this guy is one of them and this smells of a baked story. A "spokesperson" for the FBI but won't even say their name?

Uh-huh...
No need to respond. Just saving this post so I can come back to respond when the truth comes out.

Oh, by the way, take your head out of the sand!

You must remember this was generated from within Fox and may not be trustworthy.
From what I can see, more reputable sources are going with "they were roommates". Reuters reported
At the time of the shooting, Robinson was living at his parents' house in Washington, a farming and residential community of approximately 28,000 near Zion National Park in southwestern Utah.
Maybe the truth is about to come out! What happens in this thread if the shooter turns out to be a leftist with a transgender partner that is a Furry?

Former President Barack Obama wrote on X on Wednesday: "We don't yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie's family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children."
I think that's the best position to take at the moment.
No it's not. Anyone with a shred of common sense comprehends why the shooter killed Kirk.

This seems like a sensible and considered comment
Former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg notes that the only consistent pattern between recent shooters is not that they are on the left or the right of the political spectrum, but that they are “young men, who seem to spend more and more of their time in dark and twisted corners of the internet.”
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

This person definitely has a point...
Maybe it is the gruesome suddenness of his death that has made so many people forget the realities of Charlie Kirk’s life. After the 31-year-old rightwing influencer was shot dead at a college campus appearance in Utah on Wednesday, many commentators rushed to condemn political violence, on the one hand, and to issue warm tributes to Kirk’s life, on the other. The former of these is legitimate: that political policy should not be determined by force, or political disagreements settled through homicidal violence, is a baseline precondition of not just a democratic form of government, but of any functional society. The latter, perhaps, can be explained by the admirable human impulse towards gentleness and reconciliation. The horror and shock of Kirk’s assassination prompted some to offer their generosity, and their sympathy, to the dead man.

Perhaps it was these noble gestures toward generosity and sympathy that led some commentators to be more laudatory to Kirk’s memory than an honest recounting of his life would allow. In the days following Kirk’s death, several bewilderingly inaccurate postmortem hagiographies have appeared, including from prominent voices on the left and center, that seem to wish that the tragedy of Kirk’s death could retroactively have given him a more honorable life.
People are prone to be far more generous and forgiving about a person when they are dead. But the reality is that Kirk was not per se "a good man" unless your version of "good" supports racism, sexism, homophobia etc.
Fair enough, I suppose, on its merits, but such a description of reasoned, honest, good-faith debate is so inaccurate a description of what Charlie Kirk engaged in on college campuses – in his series of large, staged events where he “debated” untrained liberal undergraduates with cameras rolling – that it reads as willfully naïve, if not outright dishonest. Charlie Kirk’s “debates” were aggressive, unequal, trolling affairs, in which he sought to provoke his interlocutors to distress, shouted them down and belittled them, spewed hateful rhetoric about queer and trans people, women, Black people, immigrants and Muslims, and selectively edited the ensuing footage to create maximally viral content in which his fans could witness him humiliating the liberals and leftists they perceived to be their enemies. This was not “debate”; it was not reasoned, good-faith discourse; it was not the kind of fair deliberation that democracy relies on. It was a mockery of those things.

If reasoned debate is a precondition of a liberal democracy, there are other preconditions as well. A state cannot be called democratic if it does not offer equal protection of the law – if not all of its citizens are awarded the same dignity by their government and the same vote, same rights of expression and same prerogatives before courts and elected officials in their attempts to influence its policies and navigate its laws. Civic equality – not just civil engagement – is central to the American experiment, too. It is not to excuse his murder to be honest that Kirk opposed that equality. Some historians and political scientists have argued that the United States did not become a democracy until the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act, the laws that intended to end de jure segregation and racist voter suppression. But Kirk opposed the Civil Rights Act, calling it a “huge mistake”. He endorsed the racist so-called “great replacement theory”, in which nefarious actors (usually cast as Jewish people) are seeking to “replace” America’s white population with immigrants, saying it was “well under way every day at our southern border”. On his podcast, he hosted a “slavery apologist” and a man who said that after women “got, you know, the right to vote – after that, it all went downhill”. Kirk himself once said that Black women – he named Joy Reid, Michelle Obama, Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson – “do not have the brain power to be taken seriously”. He condemned Democrats for supposedly wanting to make the US “less white”, and claimed: “There is no separation of church and state. It’s a fabrication, it’s a fiction, it’s not in the constitution.” (It is.) And yet Ezra Klein praised Kirk’s “moxie”. One wonders what such a euphemism is meant to obscure.
The fact is that Kirk was divisive, inflammatory, deceptive in his presentation of "what happened", and pretty hateful in his speech. That's who he was. Some people like and admire that sort of thing. Our own MaGa 2.0 described him as "a good man". I doubt the Jesus Christ and His current Apostles of the church that MaGa 2.0 supports because it was the religion he was born into and raised in, would support that descriptor.

Last night I found myself lost in right-wing commentary on this recent tragedy, and these were the survivalist, military, gun, and ballistics expert types. I'm dumfounded. At first, I didn't realize it was right-wing content I had stumbled upon. Because the first guy was completely trashing the FBI, including the top two leaders. Multiple channels confirmed that they don't trust anything the FBI says at all. The right-wing survivalist gun expert opinion goes something like this: Tyler didn't act alone. He couldn't have been walking down the street with the gun in his leg because it's too big. Another expert who claims to have broken down every gun in existence says it couldn't have been broken down, reconstructed, broken down again, and reconstructed again. (another politically non-identifiable channel showed how the 4-piece simple breakdown could have happened) He didn't have a gun on the roof and was a decoy. The shot hit a steel plate on the target's chest and bounced upward. That means the shot didn't come from the roof, but from the ground. Another plate channel insists that pictures of the victim showing anatomical inconsistencies with a plate could have been taken from other appearances. The shell casing had ANTIFA markings -- how could it be more obvious?

There is outrage at the FBI. One noted he was surprised that the 2 leaders weren't improving things as he thought they would with the Epstein files and was disappointed. It is noted that the FBI didn't even do anything, the perpetrators family did the work. It looks like there is a lot of pressure on the FBI to "do some work" and come up with a dramatic narrative. What, did the two FBI leaders think life is easy now? The crime got solved, we did it! Everyone go home? No, they are expected to manufacture evidence and risk ultimately being imprisoned themselves one day framing other parties that a satisfy a wild story their base can believe in. But not even that is ultimately going to work out. There is a deeper contradiction here.

When the class clowns take over the classroom, it just don't work. If I'm a conspiracy theorist, and my hobbies, worldview and online content center around my ability to outwit the authorities and put together pieces of evidence for everything from crimes to world incidents and political turns, if the establishment is the enemy; but then, lo and behold, me and my other anti-establishment bodies turn the system upside down and get leaders installed who are just like us, then what? How do you make your living not trusting the government when its people exact like you who now make up the government?

1000s of them were trying to portray the assassin as a "right wing groyper," but it turns out that's not the case, despite Marxist General DrCamnPP dedicating two days on the Discuss Mormonism discussion board in an effort to prove otherwise!

As the actual facts emerge, I, Gadianton, along with other ex-Mormons on the discussion board, will need to shift away from the groyper narrative of the assassin and try to depict him as a different kind of MAGA supporter. This way, when the truth surfaces about the assassin being involved sexually with a progressive furry, we can deny it to protect our progressive beliefs from causing us sadness and despair!

One gunman, one minor figure — and now the tinfoil brigade insists it’s a master plan.
