I had a seminary teacher who had popcorn then added a whole bunch of strange ingredients (red pepper among them), but all ingredients were normal and the food still edible. She asked if anyone wanted it, and I did! She then decided to spit in the popcorn. I was saddened by this. I really wanted to try her strange concoction.

I don't even remember the point of her object lesson. Maybe some of these lessons really aren't all that effective.

I still feel bummed about her spitting in that food before I had a shot at it. I wonder what she would have done if I had the hots for her and decided to eat it anyhow while imagining that I would be kissing her by proxy.

Thankfully as I have stated I do not hear of this anymore.

I would be interested in any evidence of a rape victim being excommunicated because he/she was raped.

I know someone who was disfellowshipped for being raped. The rapist (a ward member) insisted it was consensual, so she was disfellowshipped.

Here is one example, are there any other examples, namely that this was standard practice?

I certainly don't believe it was standard practice. But I do have personal knowledge of the situation I described. You asked for examples.

Verily so, and invite any others.

I just wanna say I am so sorry I was ugly to you earlier Loap.

I have buttons, unfortunately, and am a tad bit on edge lately. This subject is just sensitive for me and I took it out on you. I apologize.

No worries! I thought it was out of character, and that's fine.
