I thought a long time ago that mister scratch was D. Michael Quinn because I saw that he was lecturing at USC after he left BYU. He never really got into history though because if he did maybe it would have outed him.

And, you can let him know, either on the board, or via PM, that I have nothing whatsoever to do with GoodK. I have not spoken with, PMed, emailed, or otherwise conversed in any way, shape, or form with GoodK on this matter. Nor have I ever had anything to do with the USC law school. (Aside from having a much more general association w/ USC, of course.) So, I'm not secretly "pulling the stings" behind the scenes, or anything like that. for what it's worth.

I find it perfectly fitting that Scratch's sudden and inexplicable departure should be the focus of speculation of a conspiratorial kind. I won't let this fishy denial ruin my fun.

I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.

Wow, that is an interesting thought. Although Scratch did betray some unfamiliarity with Mormon doctrine at times, If I recall correctly, as opposed to simply leaving history and doctrine alone. But maybe a friend of DMQ with leads and informants resulting from the friendship? I have been fascinated by the concept of a non or nevermo apparently having deep-cover Mormon informants. I hope Scratch comes back, he was better than watching the X-Files.

Mister Scratch could have been a special friend of D. Michael Quinn.

Absolutely right. You know Scratch would never let DCP off with a simple denial.

Is it possible that Scratch is Quinn's boyfriend? That would explain so much - the access to anonymous informants via Quinn, the insider knowledge of so many church details, etc., etc. This is certainly an avenue that must be pursued!

We must be sure to let Mrs Scratch know.

Good grief.

If someone doesn't tell me who Scratch is before I die, I'll have to postpone my death.

And, well, time for me to share the inside information I have learned...

Three Nephites were seen following Mike Quinn outside the Law school and there was this shadowy figure with a white beard near a tree with a Book of Abraham and a flaming sword, and right after he...
