Because he is not actually a human person at all.

Since coming to this board has been found to be far too dangerous for even the most dedicated human TBM's little pink testimony, NAMIRS has evolved a new breed of LDS chatbots - rather in the same way that the US uses pilotless drones to fly dangerous covert missions in Afghanistan. These wonderful new devices can never be discouraged into apostasy, however often they lose the argument. They just reset after every new crash, and bingo! Off they go again. Even if they did go apostate, the owners could just pull the plug, and the memory would be blanked.

The older types of chatbots like whyme and bcspace simply repeat the same posts over and over again with small random variations. 'Belmont' is however a new model, that operates on the nonpreprogrammed 'neural network' principle. Sometimes these models try out something entirely new at random to see where it will lead - and attacking Blixa was an example of that. If the system is operating properly, it will note the strong negative feedback it has received, and the likelihood of a similar move in future will be greatly reduced.

It's possible that someone will post something better than this today.

But it is unlikely.

Really? That's it? How difficult is it to say, "I'm sorry. I was wrong"?

Blixa is one of the finest people I know, and she is no anti-Mormon. I may have my own issues with the LDS church, but she's always approached Mormonism with scholarly interest and affection. It's a pity that you can't see that.

Because if Blixa were to say something negative about Hitler, it would be further evidence that she hates Mormons.

Nope. In the context of this thread, Hitler has nothing to do with Mormons. Pinterest does, according to the OP.

Blixa wrote:Again, can you read? I called the website's DESIGN horrifying.

I called its CONTENT banal.

Blixa, what is a website if not content + design? It is a blank, white space -- it's not a website at all.

Just Me wrote:I'm fascinated that expressing negative feelings about sexism and racism is antiMormon. I'd LOL if it wasn't so sad.

No one said or implied anything of the sort. I hate racism and sexism and do not condone it. Racist and sexist issues are not unique to Mormonism, and I believe the church has come a long way from its 19th century thinking. But, instead of acknowledging the past and expressing appreciation for the progressive thought that has since happened, people here dwell on only the bad things, and forget the good. That's why I've never seen Blixa post negatively about anything anti-Mormon. I think she's too engrossed in the culture of this board and it may be influencing her online persona.

No one is picking fights. I simply made an observation. If I see things this way, it is very unlikely that I am the only one.

Sox wrote:He's stopped dogging you, he's stopped answering my posts, and he's tired of the butt kicking he's been getting from Darth J, particularly recently.

Simon perhaps under appreciated that Blixa too could crush him in debate, and so took a potshot at her.

That's how I see it.

You're welcome to see it however you wish, and I am willing to admit you probably aren't the only one who sees it that way. In fact, Darth J agrees with you.

I have a great respect for what I do know about the Blixa behind this online persona (I don't know any in real life information, just hints at research she's done). I don't think her online persona is fair toward Mormonism on this message board; in fact, I believe, based on observation, that it is heavily tilted toward anti-Mormonism. That's my opinion.

Hot news!

The multiple posts in reaction to the 'Belmont' model chatbot drone's attack on Blixa resulted in its guidance systems failing, and we have brought it down in one piece:

In the context of actual, real-life history, being Nazi sympathizers and courting the approval of the Third Reich does have something to do with Mormons.

Why doesn't Simon Belmont ever talk about the good things that anti-Mormons have done?

Hmm. Don't tell me you're trying to pull a Scratch on us by saying you're leaving only to return. It might be better not to announce that you're leaving (especially when you don't have the willpower to follow through since that makes you look weak). I don't actually fault you for returning, in fact I have an assignment for you.

Look Simon, I know you know how to scan through a poster's history looking for indications of anti-mormon bigotry. The question is, do you know how to use those powers to find indications of pro-mormonism too? Try it with Blixa. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find something that is at least as positive towards Mormonism as her comments about pinterest were negative.

Return and report.
and then apologize and eat crow.

I meant only this thread, not leaving MDB (yet).

Apologized and eaten crow? That'll be the day. ;)
(yes, yes, I know your response was actually about searching Blixa's posting history. I'm just making a small joke).

Semantic nonsense. (What video game did I quote that from 8-bit, or is 16-bit too advanced for you? ;) )

hahahahh! That's pretty funny.

I say you should sign up on Regretsy. Not only do you get to critique crafts and website design but you also get to weigh on the kind of communities websites produce. And best of all, even though Regretsy is a "parasite" website devoted to mocking the pretensions of Etsy, it actually often results in more sales for those criticized as well as running a variety of heart-warming charities. For example, each month Regretsy picks an Etsy seller who is in economic straights and not only encourages buying their goods, but also dedicates the proceeds of its own ironic gift shop to that month's seller. Recently, Regretsy pulled together an enormous sub-for-Santa drive than resulted in a showdown with PayPal over charity contributions. The resulting settlement? PayPal apologized and gave $100 to each of the families Regretsy was sponsoring.

Oh yeah, there are a few Mormon ladies who sell their wares (Mormon themed and not) on Etsy, so I guess this is just another example of my vicious and hate-filled anti-mormon campaign.
