No scientist alive, anywhere today, has ever conclusively proven that God can be reduced solely to "brain functions", or a "God spot". NONE.

Theoretically, if brain functions respond in a certain way, or has "spiritual experiences", that doesn't mean they originate entirely in the brain. The human body is like a computer, and it's designed to heal or ward off diseases, but not always successfully. It's "programmed", but programming doesn't always ensure perfection.
Beyond this mechanism which we call "the body", or the imperfect body, may be a spirit which is not quantifiable by "empiricism".
What triggers NDEs? It could be "all in the brain", but the fact that people have been certified brain dead, yet had "spiritual experiences" while being "brain dead", raises some ponderable questions.
