Well folks, here you see one of the benefits (free expertise) of a “family of internet friends” private board. One of the last things Jersey Girl told me was that I obviously came from an abusive childhood where one or both of my parents were alcoholics.

Thus not only was I physically ill but emotionally and mentally broken.

Interestingly, posting just as prolifically on this board during the same period of time, with no declared friends or family to help me along … I’ve not heard these evaluations of my mental and physical well-being from the folks here? Maybe just a kinder/gentler breed? Or maybe one’s perception really can be skewed based on taking an apologetic’s viewpoint verses a skeptic’s viewpoint.

And of course blood is indeed thicker than water.

WTF is wrong with you, Rock? Now you're just blatantly lying.

Jersey Girl has NEVER said anything like that to you, and you damned well know it!

It's a pretty simple notion as long as you ignore my response to Shades which changes the context.

Rock--Let me ask you point blank---Would you be making this outrageous claim if she was here to defend herself?

I love how people can type things and they think it means something.

Look. Just open your board up to everyone, and the issue is moot.

Well Liz, I don't remember if it was in a private PM (did we delete my account, this could be verified) or if it was in public discourse ... ever way, it was just shortly (and part of the reason) I finally left.

Yes, she did indeed say that to me, I have no reason to lie about this.

Go ahead, dig into my personal PM's and see for yourself, or search some of my last correspondents to you her, as I did respond to that telling her she was not even close.

I'll come back and find it if my account was not deleted. And Liz, if it was in a private PM, how the hell would you know I'm lying.

Now, knowing Jersey Girl, I have not worded what she stated to me exactly, and hence I'm the liar. But if she is telling you that she never said anything to me about me showing signs of coming out of an abusive childhood ... your dear friend is the liar.

It would make no difference if she was here, how would either one of us prove we were not the liars.

once again, dig through my stuff, public or private, I'd don't care and see that see did indeed make such a reference to my behavior indicating my coming from an abusive childhood.

Yoda wrote:First of all, I resent the fact that Rock has referred to GeekyNOMs as a an "anti-MDB board". It most certainly is NOT. I would never do that to you, and I would hope, Shades, that after knowing me for close to 10 years now, you would take me at my word on that one. We have been through a hell of a lot together as far as the Internet world is concerned.

As you well know, there is an open invitation for you to join GeekyNOMs at any time. I will activate an account for you this evening if you would like to join us. Does this sound like an administrator who is worried about my board being "anti-MDB"?

Now would be a great time for you to take up this offer Shades. Indeed you will find that Liz has NOT been the one doing the MDB bashing, but indeed an MDB bashing thread exists and tends to be frequented (well was at the time) by Stem's, Jersey Girl and Ray's love for this place.

I say go check it out for yourself.

Liz, if you would have minded your own business and not reacted to Jersey Girl's outrage over my statements (tell me the mdb hate thread is not ablaze with all of this), or felt that you needed to defend her, this would have died a long time ago with my simple and harmless statement that "I would not look forward to her return" or some such.

That's good advice; I'll do that.

I've never made it any secret how I feel about "this place" Rock, not even to Shades by email.

Unfortunately, the halcyon days of MDB seem to be over.

Bring back the balance, then it might start to roll again.
