No. It was just me taking away the hater's principal reason for living. Pretty unchristian of me, I suppose.

I had never even noticed the ratings before the hater began weaponizing them. And, while I very much appreciate all those who have stepped up to overwhelm his venomous spite, I think that simply doing away with the star-rankings is the neatest solution. I'd been blogging for a solid decade before I knew about them, and I won't miss them now that they're gone.
You mean he's "effectively silencing" himself? I guess he deserves credit for implicitly admitting that he was completely, spectacularly, embarrassingly wrong when he was bellyaching about these ratings "ruining" his chances of getting a high ranking in a Google search.

Seriously. Peterson is now waiting for his carefully curated star score, which he controls by begging for fives while banning those who give less, and after that he is disabling further star ratings? Unbelievable. Surely Patheos has an opinion about this strategy.

Patheos.com is the premier online destination to engage in the global dialogue about religion and spirituality, and to explore and experience the world's beliefs. Patheos is the website of choice for the millions of people looking for credible and balanced information about religion. Patheos brings together faith communities, academics, and the broader public into a single environment, and is the place where many people turn on a regular basis for insight, inspiration, and stimulating discussion.
We've gotten rid of credible balanced information in exchange for a one sided echo chamber. We've eliminated the broader public and closed the comments to all but faithful Mormons. Stimulating discussion? How does "great work Dan, you're so smart" pique your interest?

Dear god. Peterson said that about a person online? What is wrong with him?!!

The same Dan Peterson who would be raping and torturing small animals if it turns out Joseph Smith was a fraud:
DP wrote:And few if any normal people would disagree that such statements as the following are always and everywhere true:
It is always wrong to torture animals, to say nothing of innocent people, merely for pleasure.
Rape is always wrong.

However, if the doctrine of moral relativism is true, such statements can be denied. And, really, they cannot be defended as absolutely, not merely instrumentally, true.
Apparently his docile paunchy demeanor is just a thin veneer, held together with the duct tape of divine command morality.

I really hope DCP continues his food reviews. Here is DCP describing his lunch at the local Subway in Provo:

Yeah, that's outrageous. how was the comment received?
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.
