I clearly stated that you appeared to take 'great indignation' to what I deemed to be innocuous postings by Analytics. Not the period comment.
Ok dantana. I guess I was just having some cog. dis. over the odd behavior of referencing a separate discussion when Moksha's comments were clearly made on the thread discussing the crude sexist remark about periods. To use your phrasing.

Which innocuous postings by Analytics. Links please?
I disagreed with Analytics about a comment. In response to me saying it was sexist, his response was
"your thinking is cloudy. Are you on your period?"
Clearly, my original comment ruffled some feathers. In no way does that justify the crude sexist remark that followed, so I continue to be surprised that people are referencing my original disagreement, as though that justifies or even explains why a man would publicly say such a crude sexist remark to a woman. "you made me do it" seems to be the current excuse.

If some have done that, that's on them. I haven't. I was simply inquiring as to the potential that Moksha was referencing the first disagreement, since it is just so obviously blatantly wrong if it was referencing the Analytic response. The problem is, is I butted in without reading all the threads comprehensively. Please allow me to butt out now.

It does. All I would ask (and I'm not speaking for Lem, but for myself) is that when you see that a conflict has taken place between two posters who have been here for years, you understand that whatever was at the heart of it that was important enough to at least one of them to create a stand alone thread for the purpose of discussing it, that you either inform yourself before commenting or just pass it by. Based my own first hand experience, I think that the whole process itself is exhausting. Don't make people have to rewrite or relive the experience all over again.
Because they're done. And we need to let them be done.
