Re: Rules of Patheos: Midgley appears to violate TOS 10x
Big Baby Lou Midgetly continues to attack and mock Moksha today, wrapping up his Christlike behavior with a deliberate misspelling of Moksha’s handle. Wasn’t the Midgetly whining and crying about people mocking him by misspelling his name recently? I believe so.
BYU professor. Mormon priesthood holder.
edit: It appears that the Big Baby Lou Midgetly, after obsessively checking this board has edited Moksha’s handle to accurately reflect the correct spelling. Now, Lou, if you can keep extending those kindnesses I’m sure they’ll be returned in kind. If you go an entire month without misspelling anyone’s handle I’ll return to this thread and change all references to you to Professor Midgley.

Like I have said before, Elohim Jr. in the flesh... that's what Mormons are taught from mamas breast to the coffin. It just goes to some heads earlier than others is all.Gadianton wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 3:57 amThis really rubs me the wrong way. I have relatives from Rose Park; good Mormon people. He think he is better than they are? Truly he's got "Great White God" syndrome.I was young and running around the stake center in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City when I heard some sharp words. The Midge was upset that the gatherings were always in the Rose Park stake center and that area of Salt Lake City was beneath him

You have to hand it to Midgley. This entire post is utter nonsense, (caught upvoting? Please.) but the old guy is going down swinging.

Shades: I did not say that you are guilty of being the direct source of all that rubbish that is found on your board, but you clearly are responsible for there being such a venue, which is clearly a rhetorical sewer. One only has to have had a glance at the stuff posted by Dr. Scratch.
In addition, you clearly endorse the worst of what you permit. Why? You got caught upvoting all that absurd, false, insulting, nasty stuff on the "Kiwi Mormon" blog.
And after all that nonsense about how I violate Patheos rules, and how Professor Peterson protects me. And you have now witnessed your own buddies violating even those Patheos rules on the "Kiwi Mormon" blog, and seemingly taking delight in the filth that was spewed out.

Big Baby Lyin’ Lou caught lyin’ yet again:
“Shades runs what Shades runs, which has no rules.”
Here are the rules, which Lyin’ Lou Midgley apparently didn’t read:

Ok this is a huge facepalm. The Professor with his tinfoil hat is seeing things that are not there. Or maybe there is some secret agent from the MI passing along this information he goes by the name "spit-r-swallow.""I think that Blair Hodges was that source of my email. In January 1-2 Dr. Velho Burrinho boasted that he is tight with an important person in the Neal A. Maxwell Institute. And that it was someone who had strong opinions about the harm that apologists have done."
Actually Midgley's Email really was given to me by an source at the Interpreter Foundation. If it was a problem with me getting the email maybe they need to tighten the ship.

Well, yes, Midgley, you have summed up yourself pretty accurately. I don’t know why you insist on re-stating the elements of your bad behavior over and over, but, to each his own.Louis Midgley Dr. Shades • 15 minutes ago
....the following remarks about me on Gina Colvin's "Kiwi Mormon" blog (on Patheos):
I was described as "creepy," as a "creepy stalker," of being a "disingenuous stalker," of "perverted behavior," of being a "conscience-less creep," "a disgusting, mean, and angry old man," with "a long and well-documented history of nastiness, personal attacks and stalking," with documented instances, yet.
I was also accused of having "made up lie after lie that her [Gina Colvin's] husband wanted to meet me." I was also accused of being "mean-spirited," and of "vile behavior," and "boorish behavior," and again of being a "creepy stalker." I was described as a disgusting excuse for a human being. He is a creep and perverted beyond belief." And he is guilty of "un-Christian like behavior," and he is involved in the "blood-thirsty culture of Mopologists" (whatever that is). I am "quite simply a mean spirited and tremendously unkind bigot," I am also full of "rudeness." I am also advised to "stop trolling and slither back to [my] cesspool known as sic et non," which is name of Professor Peterson’s Patheos blog. I am also "dishonest." And "I did not complete the course work for my Phd [sic] in political science." I am "frequently dishonest, mean-spirited, racist, and highly offensive." And "Dan [Peterson] protects me and allows me to egregiously violate Patheos rules.
Need I go into more of the disgusting details about the rubbish that was posted about me on the "Kiwi Mormon" blog? Or in the practice run on the Dr. Shades board that was launched on 1-2 January 2020 by Dr. Shades, without a single word of caution or moderation by Dr. Shades about any of the rubbish that was set out.

It’s worth pointing out Shades‘ comment:

By "false, insulting, nasty stuff," you're referring to your own words that merely got quoted?

That’s why it is disappointing that a person with a science background listens to putzes like Midgley. Gemli holds a Master’s of Science, and in no way “relies upon scientism.” I don’t know Charles, but based on his posts, I see no evidence he does either.
Sam LeFevre Louis Midgley • 31 minutes ago
I have come to the conclusion that those who rely the most on scientism, probably do not have much foundational understanding of science or how it really works. So, in a sense, I see gemli and Charles like some of my first year students

Too bad Sam LeFevre is falling for Midgley’s nonsense. I wouldn’t have expected such a lazy approach from someone in his position.

At the end of the day, it's highly unusual that you get a "Physics Guy" who both works hard in his field and also works to really understands the underpinnings of his field. Sam has no idea what he's talking about. He has has no special insight into "how science really works." All the names that Lou Midgley quotes from phil science against Gemli are unknowns for Sam also.

Good point, we are lucky to have a large number of pretty thoughtful people on this board, who are willing to think independently but also investigate new positions and additional viewpoints. I really appreciate that.

[LM]”Need I go into more of the disgusting details about the rubbish that was posted about me on the "Kiwi Mormon" blog?“
Yes. You do.
[LM]”Or in the practice run on the Dr. Shades board that was launched on 1-2 January 2020 by Dr. Shades, . . .“
I never launched such a thing, as you are very well aware. If you disagree, please quote me wherein I supposedly did so.
[LM]”without a single word of caution or moderation by Dr. Shades about any of the rubbish that was set out then or ever on his pet project.”
Let me guess. . . "Rubbish" = "That which Professor Dr. Louis C. Midgley, Esq. disagrees with, however true or well-reasoned." Right?
