Shades, we need to talk about Mercury
Ha! Gotcha to read this didn't I? ;-)
I have a question. Mercury has access to NYT archives articles. Could you please have (make him, force him, coerce or bribe him) him create a separate thread in the Terrestrial or Celestial Forum to post just the articles (not discussion of them) that he digs up?
And then sticky it to the top so we can read it? Like our own archives of the articles?
Pretty please?
With sugar on top?
And a cherry, too?????

And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

Ummmm......let me see here....yes, I am reading both ariticles.....yep....Joseph Smith was a drunkard and a sot....yep...them there Mormons are taking over the west....yep.....those heathens.....how dare they do such a thing.......Gosh darn it....where is that extermination order.....and ugly women too!.....I can't believe what I am reading.....those dirty scoundrels....
Yes siree... AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL THE LAND OF THE FREE........and to think that American papers printed such hatred. Now I can understand the plight of the early Mormons as they were persecuted by mobs of intolerant people worked up by such papers as presented here. Thanks for the headsup...I learned a lot about the bravery of the early frontier saints. And I can also understand Joseph Smith destroying that newspaper for printing similiar vileness.

Why me, yes they are against Mormons. They only exist as past articles from the 19th Century and for that reason alone it makes them interesting. Maybe even some historical research material could come out of them. Don't take them to be spiritual indicators.
