Knockin' at Your (Beastie's) Back Door

Knockin' at Your Back Door

Sweet Beastie was an exmo
I saw her down at Petco
Looking for a Pekinese
She said she was a scholar
Beyond my faith and grace
And scholars think just as they please
The Book of Mormon crazed her
The Book of Abraham enraged her
She said that God was dead you see
She likes linguistic battle
But sometimes prates and prattles
She left the Church and now she's free

She can't deny it
Her testimony has flown
She left the Church
But can't leave it alone

Feel the Spirit...
It whispers to your soul
You know its no good running
You needn't take the fall
The gates of Heaven open
And even scholars can't ignore
The key is turning
Truth is knockin' at your back door

Sweet Beastie was so feisty
Her piercing eyes were icy
She was acting apoplecticly
The sacred things she toyed with
In her tangled skien
She spun so energetically
So I sold her name at interest
To an SCMC hit list
Masters of conformity
And now she talks more gently
And walks more circumspectly
Aware of the enormity

She can't deny it
Her testimony has flown
She left the Church
But can't leave it alone

Feel the Spirit...
It whispers to your soul
You know its no good running
You needn't take the fall
The gates of Heaven open
And even scholars can't ignore
The key is turning
Truth is knockin' at your back door
The face of sin today often wears the mask of tolerance.

Aw, sweet, my own serenade.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

WK: "Joseph Smith asserted that the Book of Mormon peoples were the original inhabitants of the americas"
Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Hmm, I thought the serenade alone was enough to make anyone throw up.

When I do yours Zoid, I'll be sure to do a rousing send up of The International, just so you'll feel at home.

Yeah, me too. Back door action in the Terrestrial forum. But alas it was not to be.

I wish there was an audio Youtube of Coggins singing his songs. Of course, I wish the same for Harmony's songs too.

For those who don't know, that's a cover of a song by Deep Purple called "Knocking at your back door". I think it came out around 1990.
