What's up with the "guest views"

I normally don't post or read during daytime hours. What I've noticed today is that the guest views are averaging around 300-400. Is that typical? What is up with that? That's not 300-400 actual live people is it?

Yes, I know this is off topic. I figured I'd have a better chance of getting an answer while folks are refreshing the "sex threads".

Keene can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the Guest Views also include Spambots.

You know there are an awful lot of computers in the Church Office building, and the Maxwell/More Good Surveillance unit.

That is a valid point. This can be proven wrong of course. That is, unless the church is deploying a botnet based method of cataloging dissent on the tubes.

I've noticed that as well. I just assumed it was bots. Surely no one else really gives a flip about what is discussed here? Do they? *shudder*

Ya know....I just want to point out that it is mid-day Sunday and there are only 46 guests showing on the front page. I am so easily amused....
