Perhaps I'm becoming overly sensitive but I have to say I'm terribly wounded by what appears to be a criticism of this thread. We were simply trying to contribute to the restoration of all things and do justice to antishock8.

You know, from almost day one, I was reminded that "you're not one of us". Neither is Moniker. Moniker made godhood a second time and so far as I can tell, she wasn't announced on this board for that. What does that tell you? Inspite of that personal slight, she was willing to sacrificially support antishock8 on his godhood and inspite of the monkey's untimely death, I was willing to join her in this community effort.

I have no doubt you were a good mod. The problem is that you "suffered" from a sense of balance, which is a terminal illness in some eyes. That's also the "problem" with Mon, she's terminally ill with a sense of fairness.

I think it's easier for never-Mo's to remain objective and see people as people instead of "categories" or "us/them". For example, I think we both see the Josh Skains exchanges as easily the most disturbing event on this board though I don't wish to speak for Moniker. I'm just guessing in that regard.
As for moderation. You do realize that you just stated that a fair and balanced moderator isn't valued on this board, right?

Yep. I know what I stated. And although I don't want to put Bond on the spot, I wonder if "other considerations" lead to him resigning as a mod? Maybe he can clarify, if he wants, to dispel any illusions.
The way Shades "spoke" to Jonas didn't impress me at all. But he's committed to free speech, and I admire that.
