Shoes, anyone?

Post by _KimberlyAnn »

I love shoes. I'd rather buy them than clothes, any day. In fact, I often buy shoes first, then find an outfit to wear with them.

This is my latest purchase, which just arrived in the mail. I love 'em, but I don't think they're going to be very comfortable:

I also bought these amazing pumps a few weeks ago for a great price at a local department store--half less than they're priced online:

Now, I don't need them at all, but I really want a pair of cowgirl boots. Not real cowgirl-ish. More like faux cowgirl. I'm thinking maybe these?

The reviews say they're a couple shades darker than the photo, which would be nice. They're a great price, too, and might be fun once in a while with a pair of jeans. I can't decide.

Anyway, I likes shoes. Anyone else have a shoe fetish?

Opinions on the cowgirl boots?

I am not a shoe person at all, largely because I'm 6'0" tall and most cute shoes come with heels. I have nothing against cute shoes with heels, I just don't enjoy being 6'3"-6'4". At my current height, whenever I go out in public, people are always checking my feet to see if I'm wearing heels (they think I don't notice, but guess what? I do!). When I do wear heels, people really, really gawk.

If shoe companies would design more cute flats, I would probably be more of a shoe person.

PS, here is a picture of my mom getting her high school diploma in 1975. I love the shoes she's wearing!

I like your mom's shoes, too, Jack! Funky.

I'm 5'3", so I prefer a bit of heel on every shoe I wear, with the exception of my running shoes. I don't like being short. Enjoy your height! There are cute flats, I'm sure. Check online. Zappos, maybe.

And, Nehor, barefoot is fine, as long as one's feet are cute and their toenails are properly groomed. In my case, that's painted red with a flower on my big toenail, a.k.a., ho-toe. In your case, I'd suggest socks.

My feet are beyond cute.....don't analyze that. :)

I don't like socks. I wear shoes for no more then a few hours a day. Anything more would be wrong.

I have a weakness for Chuck Taylors. Low, high, black, white, multi-colored - I love 'em all. I try to keep my purchases down. I used to buy them for my girls when they were toddlers (my oldest actually loved them and wore them exclusively for a couple years). I've still got my very first pair that I bought in 1989 (and yes, I wear them still).

I won't wear heels. I'm all about the comfort, and heels have never been comfortable for me.

KA,

Love the first pair, no to the boots, can't see the image in the middle. I wore shoes like your first image for years and years. Cork soles were always the best.

Anyway, since this thread is about shoes...I'd like to hear from anyone who thinks they found the most comfortable women's walking shoes (exercise) in the universe. Since I busted up my ankle last fall (I may never see a pair of heels again in my lifetime), I need the very best and most comfortable walking shoe on earth.

Anyone?

And this comment...

Since I'm on my feet for long hours, I wear almost nothing but Crocs at work. I have an assortment of colors. Ugly shoes that feel good. I also have a collection (shoe freak) of Lands End shoes and other such shoes some very expensive and others not. I have a bizillion shoes. I like clogs, work boots (with a skirt or dress, yes, I am nuts), hiking boots and black boots with thick high heels, and the ever present flip flops in a zillion colors.

At home, I'm almost always barefoot.

I'm barefoot right now.

Just sharin'

I am barefoot right now. With ho-toes.

Again, sharing.
