That's what they have to do to justify "orthodoxy", Mok.
So the homo sapiens who existed before Adam, were not spirit children of God. Who fathered them?
Ashton Kutcher?
Isn't this 'not being His spirit children' carrying speculative doctrine to a ridiculous conclusion in order to make it internally consistent?
I have never claimed my theory to be doctrine. I simply claim that evolution theory does not conflict with doctrine and have provided an example how.
There really isn't much speculation involved here at all. We know already from doctrine that God creates spirits for all kinds animals, including some very intelligent ones.
The bottom line is that answering this particular question (for which there are currently no doctrinal details) does not speak one way or the other as to whether or not evolution fits within LDS doctrine.

Some call it farting when I release gas from my bowels, I now call it "monkey spirits flying out of my butt". Thanks bc.
... our church isn't true, but we have to keep up appearances so we don't get shunned by our friends and family, fired from our jobs, kicked out of our homes, ... Please don't tell on me. ~maklelan

BC, once again I say I think you're probably a decent human being, defending what you believe. If you and I were to meet, I'd probably enjoy your company, but, honestly, you believe a lot of B.u.l.l.s.h.i.t.

Interesting since most find my theory positively unorthodox.....
Where do dolphin or monkey spirits go?

You had some good questions early on, but now you're stymied and frustrated since perhaps your purpose was not to understand but to gainsay thus leaving the path of wisdom.

Believe what you want, but leave science out of it. Unless you think you have a good scientific theory about apes/homo sapiens spirits/different spirits fathered by a being who lives on Kolob/pre-Adamites with animal-like spirits/what "first flesh" means, by all means contact New Scientist.
Being a "man of science", they should take you seriously.
