Sacred--who else uses that word? FDIC?

Post by _asbestosman »

FDIC-insured: The safest your money can be
“The FDIC has all the tools and resources necessary to meet our commitment to insured depositors, which we view as sacred. I do not foresee … that taxpayers may have to foot the bill for a ‘bailout.’”

Is this FDIC spokesman Andrew Gray a Mormon, or do other people really use the word sacred in conversation?
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.

I dunno, but to mix religion in with the insane politics in this country is just wicked. GRIN!

I was just thinking the other day, "thank God for the FDIC". Even without this housing bailout, there should not be a run at the banks on the part of most people.

I was also thinking how nice it is that Congress has kept faith with the People and resisted those hustlers pushing for the privatization of Social Security.

What is FDIC?
. . . Ludwig from Hungary, European Union, Old World
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

In my anthropology courses, the word was used many times. The word is also used quite often in the Unitarian tradition. I can't speak about other faith traditions.
