I don't believe earth is the only planet in the universe with people on it. In fact, I was watching a UFO documentary the other day which quoted scientific calculation that there are so many star systems in the universed that it would be impossible that life couldn't exist elsewhere.

Where there is life, there is a God.

The conclusion above "that it would be impossible that life couldn't exist elsewhere" doesn't say anything meaningful. Sure if life exists on earth, it is possible life exists elsewhere in the universe. That doesn't mean life must necessarily exist elsewhere, nor that it likely exists elsewhere. It is sheer speculation.

But speculating that life might be elsewhere is a far cry from talking about an interfering with mankind sort of God as if fact and arguing about it as if it can be discussed rationally with facts as a basis. Both of you are merely making things up or bring to discussion stuff others have made up. And in your case your fantasy God comes from the claims of a , known con man, adulterer who started up the LDS church. The claims the church makes, such as the Book of Mormon contains a history of America, not only has no evidence but evidence points to it being not the case but an obviously written 19 century fabrication. And then there is the Bible and its claims which you argue as if fact, when much if it as well is mere fabrication.

There are lots of people like you Paul, who argue over nonsense, as if they are arguing something meaningful. To be blunt, I generally view such people as being stupid.

There are people like you, Marg, who have no respect for others' beliefs, who enjoy insulting people, and have nasty superiority complexes. To be blunt, I generally view these people as being heartless bitches.

You really are asking too much for others to respect your idiotic musings and beliefs.

As an example my new sig line I quote from you: "Doesn't it seem logical that in the next life, we will have Godlike powers to control matter and create beings in ways we can't even fathom here?"

Marg,

I can't think of a good reason why I'll talk to you again. That was pretty mean of you to say that. Good bye.

And you're really asking too much when you cry about people throwing ad hom's your way, and you can't even recognize it when you do the exact same thing to them. Talk about being stupid....Well, maybe a better word for it would be socially obtuse.

by the way, my sig is dedicated to you.

I was taught/learned that the endowment predicted a future event (spouse and yours), not some historical record. And yes, BH stated that Adam had a Celestial body in the Garden (contested). Yes you will have to leave your Celestial Kingdom and fall, and hence require a savior to bring even you back. Oh but I forget, Hinckley told the world he was not sure that we teach that.

You think it's mean for me to point out how stupid it is to argue/discuss fantasy as if it were real? Your discussion with Gaz about other worlds that you say a superhuman/God creates, is not interesting, imaginative, creative, mature, thoughtful, it is boring and downright stupid.

If you feel that way, then don't read his threads, or participate on them. It's a simple solution, really. For someone with such a high intellect, I'm surprised you couldn't come up with that one on your own.

Stick to your own lofty threads about atheism and science.
