I suspect that many folks prayed about this scam and god gave them the warm and fuzzies this was a good deal and they should go for it..
That's OK, it's a test of faith. Believing something for no rational reason is more important than your money.
CFR that Mormies are more likely to be suckered out of their money!!!!

I don't have the references but I remember reading that Salt Lake City is in the top three Scam cities in America. Spokane won.

Believing in something does not have to be irrational and not everything that may be believed in, is design to part you with your money. Some scams may indeed cater to rational, but ultimately unwise, thought.
Because god would not have given them that answer? Or they were heathen Mormons?
God gave them the answer they wanted.. just as you asked about paying net tithing. that's what god does.. tells you what you want to hear.
God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it. Nehor.. Nov 08, 2010

That fails to explain the commands I get that i don't want. I was actually shocked when I got the okay for net. I went in expecting a no.

Many insurance companies invest their reserves into real estate or securities. With the real estate collapse / financial meltdown, like many investors, Beneficial Life's portofolio took a massive hit. The church (Deseret Management) covered the losses and has decided to divest itself of Beneficial life.
Personally, I thought Beneficial life was a great company to work with. Too bad.
