Discussion of The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown(WARNING-SPOILERS)
I haven't actually started reading the book yet, but spoilers have never bothered me. This thread is for open discussion of the book...spoilers are OK.

Disappointingly anti-climactic. Prevention of the destruction of our country really rested on the CIA preventing a masonic video of the leaders of our country getting out? Really? That's what I was being held in suspense about?

Re: Discussion of The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown(WARNING-SPOILERS)
I finished it a week before last.
TBSkeptic made a good point. The video might cause an uproar and force some resignations, but beyond that, who cares? Good riddance.
I, too, thought it was disappointingly anti-Climactic. The lost "word," the symbol of power, is the freakin' Bible?? Who the Hell cares?
Of the three books in the Robert Langdon triad, I thought this was the weakest one. Unlike the other two, the only mystical historic item was the pyramid itself. It wasn't a real-life place or thing that you can go and see like all the items in The DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons.
Still a good book, though, compared to the other fare out there.

"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
