I think, and this is just a thought, that perhaps the dream world is just as real as this world and this is where we end up when we die. That is just a conclusion I have come to based on subjective experience but it seems to mesh well with the anthropology and history of religion, especially tribal religions. In this sense, the dream world does actually exist, and is tied to the real world, so in theory you could see future events if time does not exist, but only in their dream form, before they became reality, like how an action does not take place until it is thought about, perhaps the creator thinks of things first before they happen, and then they are created in this world. Not everything created in the thought world fits into reality, but some thoughts and ideas do, just like some thoughts we have can in no way take real shape, but some can. This is all just surmising but it seems to make sense to me. Perhaps when you see into the future you are in a sense reading ther creator's mind. Perhaps we are the creators, and collectively, the creator. What is thought about manifests.

I think dreams are created entirely by the brain, and the only "reality" is what the brain does during dreams.

But it's a free board, and you are free to speculate.

If it's not too sensitive, how did it turn out, are you guys still married?

Well, we're still married, but we've certainly had our ups and downs, enough so to know that we were very hasty in how we decided to marry and went about it. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have made the decision in this manner.

Funny you should ask. I walked up to him and said that I wasn't going to engage him to take me anywhere, but as I wanted to talk to him for a few minutes of his time, I handed him a crisp $5 bill. More than this and the recognition I couldn't say anymore. I think I woke up during my conversation with him, which is why I remembered it so vividly.

I've had dreams which gave me a clear foretaste of future events, but I'm not sure how that one works. Other dreams were so real that when I woke up I could hardly believe it was a dream and I was back in reality (thankfully, many times).

It's interesting about the foretaste of the future. I don't know exactly how that works either, but here's an idea. The future can be very dependant on things we humans do and think, obviously. If we are thoughtful, and observant, we can make observations of how things are going and often predict likely outcomes that depend on human choices and interactions.

It's like as we make observations of how things are, we run these through an internal simulation of the universe in our minds, fast-forward it in time, and see what we think are likely future outcomes. When these don't occur, we just forget about them, but when they do occur, some confirmation bias occurs and we notice and remember these events with some kind of wonder.
