~ No announced plans yet but given its blighted location and the spiffy McTemples in Gilbert and Glendale - the cost to keep Mesa open will doom the ol' girl..
edit.. Besides its a defective temple as it has no steeple which the church claims is essential to temple worship..
Big difference in the Church Office Building and the Paris, Idaho tabernacle. The office building gets hundreds through it every day. Paris Idaho gets hundreds through it every 30 years or so.
Coalville, Utah had a very nice tabernacle at one time. Then Salt Lake decided to demolish it. The locals went so far as getting a court order preventing this... and Salt Lake got bulldozers out there at midnight and flattened it. So much for court orders and respecting the wishes of the local members.
Church office building inside being run down is shameful. Can't those using the space keep it clean and keep it up? Lazy bums.

Yeah...let me know when they add them to Cardston and Hawaii.

Bull.Crap.
I might add, the reason for the blighted location is the cheap ass Mormon slum lords that own all of the property surrounding the temple lot.

Have they ever actually razed a temple?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
