In the office we have a fanatical Mormon who refuses to work on Sunday regardless of the needs. “I WILL QUIT BEFORE I WILL COMPROMISE MY RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLES.”

However I have been in on many Sundays and noticed this same person feels no moral dilemma against coming into the office and using the company copier to make a 100 or so copies of his Weekly Ward Schedule to be handed out to the faithful as the enter the Chapel.

Read him the commandment that says to take a day of rest and point out it also says you shall work six days...in other words does he take saturday off?

Your story reminded me of when I had my TBM best friend as a business partner in the early 1980's. As part of our business revenues, we sold beer and cigarettes. One day he came to me with another business venture idea. At the time video movie rental stores were just coming into being and he thought we should look into starting one up together.

That sounded like a pretty good idea to me so I started doing some research. I discovered that a significant amount of money was made on sales/rentals of adult videos. When I asked my buddy if we would have an adult video section in our store, he boldly said "NO WAY!! Why would you possibly think we would have adult videos?" When I responded with "Because part of the living we currently make and pay tithing on is based on the sales of beer and cigarettes.", he was left totally speechless.

Starting a video rental store together was never brought up between us again. Haaaa haaaa!!

Pretty standard for some LDS. I knew LDS kids that would fornicate (committing the "sin" next, to the "sin" next to murder -- adultery), but would refuse alcohol or coffee to touch their obedient and holy lips.

Why does he do that? His ward has a copy machine and budget to make the copies. He's not saving the church any money by using the company copier.

Last time I checked, paper and ink still cost money. He is saving the church money. However, if he really wanted to save the church money he would just not show up on Sunday to help save on utilities and wear and tear.
