Well, I was a former moderator and I have finally been banned from LDS.net or rather the newly named MormonHub forum myself.
Why? Because I posted an article link in LDS Living... and 4 posters began to BASH on me - including two moderators: Just_A_Guy and estradling (the senior moderator who probably banned me).
Here's the link I had posted for anyone interested:
http://www.ldsliving.com/How-We-Misinterpret-Black-and-Curse-in-the-Scriptures-Insights-from-a-Black-Convert/s/88562
All they did was bash me, call me a "gospel hobbyist", and twist my words against me - as they had done to me in the past.
They are more interested in preserving the "status quo" rather than helping others to have a new understanding of the scriptures (that's already there to be discovered in the footnotes and references; I didn't put them there.)
by the way, they never announced the 40th anniversary event of the 1978 Revelation on their site, until *I* put it there.
Finally, they banned me. Since it was me against 4-5 other posters - including 2 moderators - I hardly had a chance to be properly heard. They didn't want to discuss the actual ISSUE, but discuss what THEY THOUGHT was what I was trying to promote. There was no spirit in that thread.
It was quite unfortunate. I hope that others figure out that lds.net forums (or rather MormonHub.com) is NOT the same as having a conversation at church. People at church are FAR nicer than that.
I just wanted a place to "vent" and share that.

It's nice to have a place to vent. I've done a lot of that on this board.

Moksha, a belated thanks.
I missed your post first time around. perhaps skipping a thread with a title about being banned from some purgatory.
I will never again be able to think of the phrase religious imagery the same again. I will perhaps be unable to think of the word cartoon the same either.
