Why do LDS Mormons hate 'Big Love'?

Oh come on, I know lots of Mormons who are fans of Big Love -- mostly younger women though. I find it ironic that on the Facebook fan page almost all the fans are young women. Maybe seeing a guy who is able to exhibit pro-family qualities and be married to three women is actually attractive to women.

I would say that Big Love has done a lot of good things for the LDS Church as it takes away the stigma associated with polygamy. Of course, I know a lot of Mormons who cringe at the mention of polygamy and say that it has not been around for over a century but even when we reach the time period of Starship Troopers and Mormons are colonizing other worlds if polygamy is not restored by then it will still be a topic that is going to be brought up.

Ironic though...instead of polygamy being a weak point for the Church it has the potential of being a strong argument for the apostasy since the Catholic Christian church did away with polygamy even though all the prophets supported it. Then again, one would really have to read up on the issue beyond a standard sunday school manual of today.

Possibly more than some realize. mr space even said something to the effect he would voluntarily be buggered at high noon in Temple Square by Tommy Monson if asked, didn't he?
