What this means is that person who experienced the spiritual manifestation has NO business telling me about it. If they do, they should expect it to be debated - though I likely won't try.

Yep, spiritual experiences are nontransferable for some reason.

Apparently, the new governor of Colorado is relation. But he's a Democrat, so every family has its black sheep. ;-)

This made me laugh... probably because we all know what I think of the convenient witnesses... and the lack thereof for the most important revelation ever given to man.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Because God is personal, not global.

He was sealed to his first wife in the Nauvoo temple. That is pretty cool. I didn't think that many couples got to do that.

Hmmm. I did not know that. One of my other ancestors, Ezra Granger Williams, was sealed in Nauvoo, too. We Williamses have gone a long way down from our earlier prominence. :-)

If you google his name you will find a family history website with that letter and some other little history information for him and one of his lines. I guess he was a bishop in Salt Lake where he lived with his 3 wives.

Another little factoid: After his death, three deceased English sisters were sealed to him. I haven't figured out if they were cousins or what. It struck me as interesting, if not a bit odd.

Oh, and since I am located in Colorado I did wonder about the Hickenlooper connection here. :)

I suspect it was much better than my own Elvis impersonation. Thank you very much.
